Let’s face it! It is hard to be black in this country (and other places in the world). In my opinion, the reason why Woods and others attempt to distance themselves from their black heritage may be because of all the connotations, distortions, myths, and outright lies that have been cast upon black people within America. Perhaps Woods does not want to associate himself with an image of a big, black, burly roughneck...
